Why are diesel engines  not preferred in commercial ?

Commercial vehicles see robust sales in January 2018

1.Diesel engines, because they have much higher compression ratios (20:1 for a typical diesel vs. 8:1 for a typical gasoline engine), it tend to be heavier than an equivalent gasoline engine.

2.Diesel engines also tend to be more expensive.

3.Diesel engines, because of the weight and compression ratio, tend to have lower maximum RPM ranges than gasoline engines .This makes diesel engines high torque rather than high horse power, and that tends to make diesel cars slow in terms of acceleration.

4.Diesel engines must be fuel injected, and in the past fuel injection was expensive and less reliable.

5.Diesel engines tend to produce more smoke.

6.Diesel engines are harder to start in cold weather, and if they contain glow plugs, diesel engines can require you to wait before starting the engine so the glow plugs can heat up.

7.Diesel engines are much noisier and tend to vibrate.

8.Diesel fuel is less readily available than gasoline.

WORKSHOP : Precautions || workshop || Safety

  What safety precautions should be observed while working in the workshop ? 1) Keep shop floor clean, free from oil and other slippery materials. 2) Wear proper dress and avoid loose clothing and loose hair. 3) Wear shoes and avoid chapels. 4) Avoid playing, loose talk and funning inside the shop floor. 5) Keep good housekeeping and put all unnecessary items and rejected items in scrap box. 6) Learn everything about the machine before starting and clear all the doubts. 7) Keep a safe distance from rotating and sliding parts. 8) Never store inflammable materials inside or around the shop. 9) Never play with electricity, fire, parts with sharp edge etc. 10) Keep fire buckets and extinguishers ready for use.

Battery: definition, functions, Types, History, components, diagram,

 BATTERY: A battery in automobiles, is an electrochemical device which produce electricity (current) through chemical action inside it. The battery does not store electricity a electrons. The battery stores energy in the chemical form. The electrical energy is produced in the battery by the chemical reaction that occurs between two dissimilar plates that are immersed in a electrolyte solution.  The automotive batteries are rechargeable, therefore, they can also convert a electrical current into chemical energy and stores that energy until it is needed. The amount of electrical energy that a battery can produce depends upon the size, weight,  active area of plates, and the amount of sulphuric acid in the electrolyte. The greatest requirement of electrical energy from the battery occurs when it supplies current for operating the starter in When the engine is started, the vehicle's charging system (generator) supplies current to recharge the battery and to run the electrica...
